Adriana Toso-Schulze, artista de la acuarela

Nacida en 1971 en el seno de una familia germano-italiana residente en el norte de Alemania, actualmente vive en Mülheim an der Ruhr/Alemania con su familia. Aunque es adicta a la música y a la pintura desde muy joven, su vida profesional la llevó a una dirección completamente diferente: se graduó en Administración de Empresas en la Universidad de Münster/Alemania en 1998 y tiene un nivel de doctorado en Auditoría de Empresas por la Universidad de Economía y Negocios de Viena. Lleva muchos años trabajando en contabilidad y finanzas empresariales. A principios de 2014 se inscribió en un taller de acuarela y desde entonces practica la pintura de acuarela. En 2019 comenzó a ser una artista a tiempo completo y ahora trabaja en su propio estudio en Mülheim an der Ruhr/Alemania.

Adriana desarrolló un estilo expresivo bajo la guía de artistas de acuarela de renombre nacional e internacional como Elke Memmler, Jutta Höfs, Andreas Mattern, Wilhelm Fikisz y Konstantin Sterkhov, por nombrar solo algunos, con los que adquirió el conocimiento del diseño y la elección, el manejo y la mezcla de colores y todas las técnicas de pintura de acuarela.

Hasta ahora, los motivos preferidos de Adriana son los paisajes, las flores y los bodegones. Para ella, es su transparencia lo que hace que la acuarela tenga un gran mérito. La transparencia y el uso de la forma negativa es lo que hace que la pintura de Adriana sea misteriosa y etérea. Prefiere estrictamente la pintura de acuarela transparente o semitransparente a la opaca y trabaja en tantas capas como sea posible. Es a través de la lente de la acuarela que quiere hacerte ver lo que te rodea. Si te permites sumergirte en ella, descubrirás toda una nueva realidad.

Adriana es miembro de la Sociedad Alemana de Acuarela, la Liga de Arte de California y la Sociedad de Acuarela de Lousiana.

Adriana Toso-Schulze, Watercolour Artist

Born in 1971 into a German-Italian family residing in Northern  Germany, she is now living in Mülheim an der Ruhr/Germany with her family. Although addicted to music and painting from a very young age, her professional life took her into a completely different direction: she graduated in Business Administration at the University of Münster/Germany in 1998 and holds a PhD level in Business Audit from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She had been working in accounting and business finance for many years. At the  beginning of 2014 she enrolled in a watercolour workshop and  has been  practicing watercolour painting ever since. In 2019 she started being a full-time artist and now works in her own studio in Mülheim an der Ruhr/Germany.

Adriana developed an  expressive style under  the  guidance of nationally and  internationally renowned watercolour artists such as Elke Memmler, Jutta Höfs, Andreas Mattern, Wilhelm Fikisz and Konstantin Sterkhov to name only a few with whom she acquired the knowledge of design and the choice, handling and mixing of colours and all watercolour painting techniques.

Up to now, Adriana’s preferred  motifs are landscapes, flowers and still lives. For her, it is its transparency  for which watercolour must be given high credit. Transparency and the use of the negative shape is what renders  Adriana’s painting mysterious and ethereal. She strictly prefers transparent or semi-transparent watercolour paint over opaque ones and works in as many layers possible. It is through the lens of watercolour that she wants to make you see what surrounds you. If you let yourself dive deeply into it, you will discover a whole new reality.

Adriana  is a member  of the  German Watercolour  Society, the  California Art  League  and  the Lousiana Watercolor Society.
