During my years as teacher1970-2000 I tested various materials such as silver and ceramics, but mainly I drew with pencil and ink. Around 2000 I started to
paint with watercolor that still fascinate me.

This technique always invites to new challenges and the opportunities are endless. Sometimes I just let the watercolor flow, other times the smallest details are very important.

I´m now living on the countryside outside Uppsala, Sweden at the place where I started to paint with watercolor.

Previously I used the time to search the right motif while today the primarily is seeking new meetings between different color pigments. The palette knife spreads water and color pigment over the paper and based on this result, the work continues abstractly or figuratively. Different technique invites me to new challenges and the oppurtunities are endless.

I have the pleasure of sharing my creativity and experimentation with my daughter Tuva Andersen, who is also an engaged watercolor painter.

The only time I paint figuratively is when I want to remember a moment with my grandchildren and then the color scale is usually different.

Today I have shown my watercolors in galleries and juried exhibitions in several European countries, besides Sweden, Lithuania, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Finland, Spain and Slovakia.
