Fausto Sutera Biography
Born in Palermo on May 30, 1977, he showed artistic talent from an early age, winning several drawing competitions in the early 1990s.
In 1996, he graduated from the Institute for Surveyors and enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Palermo, graduating with honors in 2007.
Since 1998, he has collaborated with several internationally renowned architectural firms in Rome, Palermo, and Milan.
In 1999, he won the «Uno Schizzo per Calatafimi» drawing competition, and in 2007, he placed second in the «BAU 2007 Archi – Student Award» architecture competition in the Brick category,
and was also a finalist in the Freestyle category. In 2008 and 2009, he devoted himself to literature, through poetry, and some of his writings were published by Montedit. In 2010, Leonida Publishing House published her first book, «Life in Aphorisms.» Since 2013, she has passionately dedicated herself to the spirit and essence of painting, using the transparency, lightness, and blending of watercolor colors to reinterpret the landscape. The landscape is painted to be a dream, a fleeting and ephemeral vision of reality. Watercolor is a highly difficult and inimitable painting technique, in which water, which creates marvelous effects, is both the artist’s friend and foe.
This natural element seems to lighten, almost rendering the subject blurred and ethereal, leaving a layered experience.
She designs wooden easels for painting, wooden color palettes, and teaches watercolor.
In fact, she holds annual courses in Palermo for adults and children, and workshops throughout Italy.
He has collaborated in the past with many brands: Mijello, Winsor & Newton, Borciani & Bonazzi, Daniel Smith, Amatruda, Tintoretto, Da Vinci, and Schmincke; he currently collaborates with the Fuumuui brand.
He is a member of the «IoCreativo» art school in Palermo, which boasts more than 50 students, and has his own studio at Via Marchese di Villabianca 95, Palermo, where he works as a professional artist and teaches multi-technique courses.
